My Comic con experince

I arrived Wednesday and we went to the Cartoon Network Pizzeria. But we decided not to eat there because the pizza didn't look very fresh. Looked like it sat there for hours. But the place looked nice and my sister liked this picture.

In the end we went to a restaurant Las Hadas on 4th street. It was soooo tasty! They had the best coconut shrimp I have ever tasted. And the servers were very friendly. After roaming the streets we returned to the hotel to get ready for Thursday.

Thursday morning we went to see if we can pick up the Friday-Sunday badges. But the line was very very long, so we decided to go to Petco Park area for the Real Steel event. On our way I got a text stating Cowboys & Aliens gold bricks will be given out on 9th street. My friend and me ran all the way there... I found out running 9 blocks in wedges can give you blisters. And in the end we did not get a brick and a premiere ticket. We tried to other times but we never got a brick, but in the end we figured it was not meant to be.

At the Real Steel event Hugh Jackman came out, and he was super nice. He did a Q&A with fans and gave away free stuff. He also went into the crowd with autograph posters and he took pictures with people, before the security guards came and took him away. It was a lot of fun and it was cool to see him.

After this the next panel we went to was Stan Lee and Yoshiki. It was an entertaining panel. It was surprisingly very funny.

Also the panel before this one was with Rick Baker. He had a video of what the audience will see in MIB III. Overall it looks very interesting and he was interesting to listen to. Also I think he was the only person on a panel I saw this weekend who was drinking wine instead of water.

We than made our way to Hall H. Where they had a panel discussing The Drive and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. We caught the end tail of this panel, and what we saw was a clip from The Drive. Which Was a little traumatizing... All I can remember is the a guy beating up another guy's head to the point when they show the head, it was all beaten in. That scene was, I think, the most traumatizing scene I saw that weekend.

Carey Mulligan and Ron Perlman

Damon Lindelof and Andy Serkis for the panel for the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. By now I have seen the movie. And I really really enjoyed it and hope it gets some nominations for the OSCARS.

Robert Rodriquez panel where he talked about future projects.

The Jon Favreau and Guillermo De Toro Panel. It was entertaining and very fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was fun to hear them talk about projects. They even brought up Magic Kingdom and the Haunted Mansion. I really hope they will be at D23 this weekend. :)

Friday:

This is The Adventures of Tin Tin movie. Which was great to see Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson. We saw some exclusive clips and I really think this will be a good movie. I cannot wait for it to come out!

In the middle of the panel Andy Serkis made a surprised appearence!

Personally I think it was very creative of him to wear this shirt. Since you cannot vocally ask for anything, he made a shirt. And in the end it worked out!

These are pictures from a panel with Gina And Channing Tatum.

John Cusack on the panel for The Raven. Edgar Allen Poe is one of my favorite writers. And this movie is a must see for me. the clip they showed looked interesting, and I think it will a good movie.

Nicolas Cage at the Ghost Rider 2 panel. I never watched Ghost Rider before but I will totally go watch this one! They showed us some footage of the directors doing camera work. And at points were its a stunt person is flying off the cliff, the person flying off the cliff getting the shot is the director. It was very amusing panel and makes me want to see how the final product comes out. Therefore it became a movie I will see when it comes out.

This the 30 Minute or Less Panel. It was entertaining.

Total Recall panel with Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, John Cho, and Colin Farrell.

A surprise at the Spider-Man Panel. Someone says they would like to ask a question, and than it turns out it was Andrew Garfield!

Saturday:
This is the Twixt Panel with Francis Ford Coppola and Val Kilmer.  It was an interesting panel because the way he got the idea for the film came to him in a dream. And i find it interesting that they can change he length of scenes. I hope i can attend a screening of this movie in October.

My Last panel was Once Upon A Time. The writers will be at D23. But I am so happy to have gone to this. The show looks amazing! And I really hope it doesn't get canceled. It was also fun to watch the pilot with LOST fans because we all caught some LOST stuff in the episode. Someone asked if it will be a show you have to think or just a show you can relax? They responded that it is for both. Which I am glad because they have minor details in the show that made me think AWESOME!

On Sunday my friend and me couldn't get into the Doctor Who panel. We decided to go to the Terra Nova truck, where they had an oxygen bar and a green screen to shoot you into the preview. We later went to grab a Pan Am bag being given away at the Hard Rock Hotel. Where it got ridiculous with people just grabbing the bags and being rude to the "flight attendants" giving the bags out.

We than went to the Exhibit floor and walked around. Before Sunday was a lot calmer than it was this year. So many people that it made me think twice if it was really Sunday. I also went to the Nintendo lounge which was lots of fun. It had such a relaxing atmosphere. The people there were extremely friendly and it made me happy to be a Nintendo fan. I also played the Skyward Sword and it was fun! I cannot wait to buy the game!

Overall it was a fun experience and going to comic con is so much fun. Of course I am exhausted come Monday but it feels great. :) I hope I can go next year and enjoy the experience of being with so many great fans.

Tonight Will be fun!

Tonight I am going to watch the final Harry Potter film at midnight with other fans at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre. It feels as though my childhood has officially come to an end tonight. The first one came out when I turned 11 and now I am 21. And it feels as though so many feel the same way. Even though I did watch it last night, tonight will be the last midnight showing of this film. Apparently there is an Ultimate Fan Celebration, and I cannot wait!

Last night I went to a special screening in Los Angeles were many fans gathered and we watched it in 3D in IMAX. It truly was an amazing experience. When the movie was playing it was so quiet you can hear a pen drop. And... some sniffling at points in the film. For me it has become my favorite from the series. To see Alan Rickman act Snape to the very end was so heart wrenching. I truly felt this film did justice to the book in its adaption to the movie screen.

After the film there was a Q&A with David Yates. It was interesting to listen to him. And how he was happy that J.K. Rowling loved this movie.

Overall i am so happy I went.

Also this weekend Winnie the Pooh comes out this weekend as well. And that movie was just an amazing film! I highly recommend it to any Disney fan. It was so adorable. Also Nessie, the movie short, was so cute and that made me go "awwwwww". So CUTE! I recommend both films to any person who loves great movies.

Opening ceremony at AM2

10:17am We were just allowed in to the room.

It's been a couple of hours since the opening ceremony. But here is what happened at the opening ceremony.

The lights dimmed and we all applauded. Than a recording and music went on, I could not make out what it said. Than a dance group, common ground group, came out and performed. It was enetertaining and over all really good. One person didn't know the steps very well and was behind everyone else. :(

Afterwards the MC came on stage,he introduced himself and than began talking about AM2. He started talking about how this is the first year and that they are excited to show the hard work they put into it. He than asked us to join him in saying "anime amen!" After that he introduced AM2 vice chair Jay Lee(sp?) who than continued with a thanks to the attendees fir coming to AM2.

They also brought up that there will be a fundraiser and other ways to donate to japan relief for the earthquake.

Around 10:40am they introduced the guest of honors! (Technically the first the introduced was Scandal but they were not here today.) First was Sixh., who just introduced themselves. The second to go up was Gashicon who said pleasure to be here, and nice to meet you. The third to go was heidi., they got yoshiku to speak for the group and said hello, and this is there first time over seas.

Next was Sadie and each member said something. First was Aki said than you for inviting us. Second was Mao who asked how are you and wanted us to show how excited we were by yelling. Third was Mizuki who said have fun today! And last was Tsurugi who said he was a crazy boy. The last member, Kei, was not at opening ceremonies but would later join them for the panel.

After them it was KanonxKanon. Kanon, girl, said hello nice to meet you. And Kanon, boy, came out stood and did a dragon ball z thing before sitting down. After them was Miho Shimogasa who said basically hello, nice to meet you and I have been looking forward to this convention.

Than it was Akihiko Yamashita who said nice to meet you and that he arrived two days ago up in north California, it was gloomy but here in L.A it is sunny. Sunao katabuchi said he was slightly tired because he just finished a show before coming. And he hopes the audience enjoys MaiMai Miracle as much as Black Lagoon. Last but not least was Masao Maruyama who said it has been 5 years since he last came to Anaheim and he hopes we enjoy Mai Mai miracle and afterwards to talk to him and the director about the film.

After this they did a blue ribbon cutting. Where all of the guest of honors have a piece to cut. And thins concluded the opening ceremony.

I will come back soon with more updates of what I have done at AM2! :)

It's been a long time

Here I am almost or maybe over 2 months since I have been here. I have don't a lot but I have just been either too tired ot lazy to post. In the last couple of months I have gone to the Pirates premiere at Disneyland, met a bunch of great people, and much more. But I feel as though the time has past to write about those things here. It was fun and I have learned more about myself.

Over the past week I have started training myself for the Disney half marathon. I am so out of shape! I am walking some mountain trail near by to help my body get use to going up hill. Running has always been my weakest point... I prefer swimming.

Also this weekend I am so excited about AM2 convention in the Anaheim convention center! I am most excited about meeting Yamashita-san, who is a animation director for Studio Ghibli! Growing up watching Ghibli films it has to be the most anticipated panel for myself! And I am also excited about watching some j-rock bands perform too! I hope to post during the weekend with things I am doing at the convention.

Than in a few weeks I will be heading off to comic con!!!! Super excited about this! These few weeks they have been announcing panels and who is going. I am very excited about terra nova, and just being in the gaslamp district! I may not be able to go to the terra nova though... Because I will probably be in hall h.

Overall I am super excited about what I will be doing this month! And I will continue posting here! :)

Fun times at L.A. Live for the Ellen DeGeneres Show

Yesterday Ellen DeGeneres was tweeting that if anyone wanted tickets to the Grammy's to go to L.A Live ASAP. But it turned out that showing asap was not required, and they wanted a crowd by 2:30 for the filming at 3. This filming would be for today's show, Friday the 11.

The crowd was very small and it was made up of basically college students who would like to go to the Grammy's and tourists who stumbled upon this and wanted free stuff to take home. While waiting we learned to recieve a prize we had to dress up. People went to stores and tried to make costumes out of anything. One girl was going to put meat on herself but the crew told her not to because Ellen is a Vegan. In a way she was very happy because she didnt want to smell like raw meat.

The day taping went by fast and it was a lot of fun. The person who won was a guy who dressed as Adam Lambert and sang why he would like to go to the grammy's in the tune of Whataya want from me. He was really good and was the clear winner for the whole taping. They tried to find someone else who could sing as amazing as him to have more of a competition but sadly they couldnt.

After the taping they gave away the prizes through a raffle. Basically if someone got a number, they were guranteed a prize. The prizes ranged from camera to cell phones to Beiber headphones. It was awesome to get something for the hours we waited outside in the hot sun. I got a wearable camcorder! and that is really awesome because it is great for me because i really love doing sports and marathons.

The crew was very nice to us and we enjoyed ourselves very much.  Thank you to Ellen and the crew for the free gifts and the fun memories!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I AM VERY EXCITED THAT I AM GOING TO COMIC CON 2011! I got my tickets, i had to by individual days because the 4 day pass wouldnt show up, in about 2hrs. It was a lot of F5 clicking and being on 2 computers at the same time but i got them!

Sadly though i found out that twilight is also... which i am not very happy about. I just dont like how many of those fans do not even care about the rest of the panels but take up all the room in Hall H, uninterested, until Twilight.

I do not like Twilight, it annoys me, the films are much more decent than the books. The books are poorly written and remind me of a poorly written mary sue fan fiction.

Although i now have respect for some of those fans and there moms for the dedication to this series. Last year i did the camping for 4 days at L.A Live for the Eclipse movie, to live a couple days in a life of a Twilight fan. Thinking back it was a lot of fun and i had new respect for some fans and actors. I learned that some are not as crazy as they paint them, they just want to make memories doing this with other fans. Others sadly depend on that book because of what they have gone through. One girl was crazy and had tattos of the different emblems and favorite quotes from the book all over her body. hose couple of days i learned that the media actually looked for the craziest, weirdest fans and it gives them all a bad reputation.

I enjoyed it very much, but sadly they are such fanatics that they will be camping out 4 days before comic con even opens. And i do blame them for the crashing servers on saturday. It would probably have gone more smoothly if in fact twilight wasnt going, and people who like comic didnt feel the need to battle for tickets saturday morning with twifans.

I am looking forward to Comic Con and one day i hope to be press... THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

Until than i will enjoy myself as a fan of movies and such. My goal this year is to go to at least 2 parties! i am now 21! yay me!!!

So where to start... i didnt post yesterday... need to work on reminding myself to write.

Yesterday i took my dog to the vet to get its shots. I got my dress in for a wedding i am going to at the end of the month. but it barely even fits me... it felt like the dress was laughing at me for being overweight....

i am going to try to lose the 6 pounds by the end of the month. i am not the skinniest person, and i a food addict but i need to drop the weight.

I went to the gym yesterday and i am very out of shape, i am trying to train for the disney resort half marathon. i have yet to sign up but i should do that soon...

My First Post

Why did I start this blog?
Simply because i need to practice in writing. And my new year resolution is to update this blog at least Monday-Thursday, and sometimes Friday. Also i will like to write about my daily activities and my thoughts on things that come to my mind. On mondays i will also write about my past weekend. Sometimes my life is interesting and other times it is plain boring.

Lastly, I am not the greatest writer but i hope to improve and be able to become a decent writer by writing on this blog weekly.

My first Day Back in School

Today i am in school... I had a really great winter break. I was able to hang out with people i have not seen for a very long time. Also was able to try some food off food trucks on First Friday at Speedzone in City of Industry.

As the first day in school, i have yet to be able to do much because i need to buy books. I sometimes wish that books could be free, it is really expensive to buy books every semester. I like how some classes the teachers have the whole book online and as a student you can print it out.

Today I am taking a ballet class. I watched Black Swan about two weeks ago, and Natalie Portman does such a great job. Her character is very crazy, at times i didnt know what was real and what was not. Its a good movie but I think what makes the movie great is her acting.
